A: No. The project remains independent. Only NTAF has nonprofit status with the IRS — your project uses their status for fundraising purposes.

Q: Do I retain creative control of my project?

A: Yes. Fiscal sponsors generally do not take rights to your project or control the creative aspects. We handle the administrative side. That being said, NTAF will only sponsor projects that honor and glorify God and we have the right to deny fiscal sponsorship for a project that contradict our organization’s statement of faith.

Q: Are there fees involved?

A: Yes. North Texas Arts Foundation fiscal sponsorship charges an administrative fee of 10% of the funds raised for the project. This covers oversight and financial services.

A: Fiscal sponsorship only applies to donations, which are tax-deductible. Investors (who expect financial return) are not part of fiscal sponsorship and cannot receive tax deductions through this arrangement.
